Who would’ve thought that a beautiful and memorable wedding day could be pulled together in the middle of a pandemic? Covid restrictions put a stop to many couple’s big day, but not for Lineta and Oltjon, who tied the knot in October 2020.
Planning on having 50 guests, the restrictions meant that they were able to have just 14, including the photographer, but this didn’t dampen their spirits.
Even though it was only a small wedding, Lineta still wanted the white wedding dress. The strikingly white laced piece looked like it came from a movie. A true princess dress that was embellished with diamantes and finished with a simple, yet elegant line of small flowers sitting effortlessly on her head. A long veil accentuated with lace flowers was added and her elegant and soft makeup by Mariola Mamak completed the look.
The beautiful flower girl, Lineta’s daughter, looked equally as much a princess as her mother, wearing a gorgeous white and silver dress accentuated with a white bow at her waist.
Oltjon wore a striking blue suit, with a simple rose from his pocket. Lineta wanted everything in white, blue, or silver, the colours picked for the day.
And the bouquet by Vigo Nursery matched the look perfectly. Vibrant blue flowers poked out around white roses and soft greenery, making them pop with colour and tying the complete look together. It was no wonder they made the front cover of the Your Hampshire and Dorset Wedding Magazine.
Taking the covid restrictions in their stride, Lineta and Oltjon enjoyed their wedding at the beautiful Winchester Hotel and Spa, choosing the venue due to its striking beauty both inside and out. Offering beautiful rooms to get ready in, a modern layout was chosen for the ceremony and reception.
Being a warm October day, Lineta and Oltjon took to the streets of Winchester for some strikingly stunning photos. The reasonably quiet streets were the perfect backdrop for some modern photos with a vintage twist. The blue of Oltjon’s suit created depth in a smart and modern way. Their look contrasted against the old Winchester Cathedral and pebble stone pathways.
The couple were escorted in style, making a scene in a pink hummer stretch limo and enjoying their time together. With covid restrictions making it challenging, this was the ideal party vibe, which added some extra fun to the day.
Sticking with the theme of white, blue, and silver, the reception had a contemporary feel, and the bouquets were used as the centrepiece for the bridal table. With only four tables, there was room to spread out and relax into the evening.
They celebrated with a two-tiered cake that was decorated with white flowers and pops of blue. Covid restrictions meant that there was no DJ or band, but this didn’t stop the happy couple, who clearly chose to celebrate their love above all else.
