"I should start by saying that Kate is a truly gifted photographer and really did make our wedding day even more special. Both my husband and I are shy, do not enjoy attention on us and were so nervous at the prospect of having our photos taken! Kate turned what was something we were both dreading into the best part of our day! It felt special, she made us relax, laugh and completely forget about everyone around us. Kate is creative and would get excited about different light, textures and scenery around us that would enhance our photos and make them stunning - this is not something that can be taught and really is a gift. The selection of photos sent through to us so far have just completely blown us away and we are beyond excited to see the rest. I highly recommend Kate for any occasion!" - Claire & Tom
This intimate wedding was just perfect from start to finish. Claire looks astonishing in her leopard print coat. It was beautiful celebration of love. Their wedding consist only their parents but what a truly magical Christmas Love Story!
Micro Intimate Weddings, and Why They’re a Good Option?!
Since COVID-19 ravaged the world almost 2 years ago, we’ve had to adapt in almost every area of our lives. Some of us have had a harder time than others but we all felt a little relief when the vaccine came out. Maybe we could go back to the way things used to be? Unfortunately, as the virus continues to mutate, with the UK seeing over 100,000 new cases daily, our chances of fully going back anytime soon start to dimmish. Luckily, the booster has us all excited for what’s to come, and one of the biggest industries that are starting to turn around is the wedding industry. It might not look like it used to but that doesn’t have to be a bad thing. While many couples have had to cancel their weddings as they wait the pandemic out, you don’t have to be one of those couples. If you’re willing to be flexible and creative, your perfect day can still happen and be just as beautiful and joyful as if you had planned it before the pandemic.
Micro Weddings
Micro weddings, also known as intimate weddings, have always been an option for couples but it’s not until the pandemic that these mini ceremonies got a spotlight. Micro-weddings can range from a small gathering with no more than 20-30 guests to an elopement that includes just you, your soon-to-be spouse, and an officiant. Micro-weddings are perfect for couples wanting to stick by CDC guidelines to ensure that every guest is safe. You too can have a gorgeous ceremony but of course, it all depends on the guestlist, the time of year you want to get married, and location.
A few reasons why having a micro-wedding is a good idea:
A small guest list allows you to splurge on the smaller details and to allocate that money elsewhere or save it for the honeymoon.
A smaller guest list also gives you ample time to connect with every person who arrives at your wedding. Most times, couples have maybe a few minutes to chat with each guest but with a more intimate wedding comes more time to spend with the ones you love.
Intimate weddings aren’t as stressful and allow for you to take in more of the celebration, details of the party, and all the guests that came.
There’s less risk when it comes to spreading the virus around. You’re more in control when you plan a smaller party, and you can be more confident that everyone is safe and healthy for your big day.
